Not 100% sure these guys are scammers but they did cold call me multiple times and answer the phone with just “hello”. They are also in India and she lied about that. Oh and their phone system screams scammer.

The way you deal with those good-for-nothing is by requesting the official business name, official address, type of business (Inc., LLC, LP, nonprofit corporation, etc), business license number and state in which they are authorized to conduct business. Then, you inform the agent on the line that you will proceed to contact the Department of Education in order to get the needed feedback regarding offers that deal with student loan monthly-payment reduction. IN MOST INSTANCES, THE REP WILL SIMPLY END THE CONVERSATION AS SOON AS YOU START REQUESTING SUCH INFORMATION.
