The popup was recently spammed on our official Discord server under the false pretense of being Stake.com, when it is actually an illegal crypto casino that operates under the identity of “Stakes.”
I registered a fake account under my burner email address and was greeted with what is likely a fake $1,500 reward. This was essential so I can look at their Terms of Service and find they were still impersonating Stake.
When that plan flopped, I turned to sending the scammers a Grabify link with their live chat feature. They did click the link to youareanidiot.cc, but it was clear they were using a VPN.
I then tried seeing if I can withdraw my winnings, but I needed to verify my identity under Curacao gaming regulations. After providing false identification, I was asked to make an $80 deposit in the form of cryptocurrency.
