Got a call at work saying that my SSN is going to be blocked need to call 6282682034 for immediate assistance.
Called again and got a actual intelligent sounding guy. But he never asked my name and I asked where he was. He said DC. I said why are you calling from SanFran? Oh, it is a branch. I told him the whole scam and he still tried to convince me that he was really SSA. Not so intelligent after all!
@zoro#129713 I called from another number and got the same guy. I spoke in a Latina accent and also in Spanish. I thought I was stupid. I told him I was a Doctor of Divinity with my own church so get on with it because i have choir practice. So he went thru the script and I asked him if he knew was Identity Guard was. SORRY? I told him and asked him how it could happen. OH SHIT, says he and hung up. Moron
@zoro#129713 Called back on my other burner and got a nasty femscammer. Rotten witch thought I was 70 and still tried to scam me. Got upset when I said I did not drive because it screwed up her plan. Ugh femscammers are worse than the men.
Sorry about all the typos in the last post. I was on the phone with them at the same time. Oops.
Yep - another female scammer in need of a shower and mouthwash. They have to keep the windows open.
I can’t get through any of the “verification” steps today. They keep coming back and saying the info I’m giving them is incorrect. I’m doing everything I’ve done previously and have had no problem.
They are asking for zip codes today for some reason. I'm giving zip codes that match my area code of my spoofed phone number. They've also said my (fake) SSN and (fake) birthdate don't match. I always run the SSN through a couple of verification websites to make sure it's "valid" and that the birthdate is near the "Issue Date".
Anyone else running into this today? It's like they got smart over the weekend!!!
@JusticeinTexas#129739 thanks!
Yup 3 numbers are all doing the same thing so now I’m just annoying the piss out of them ![]()
@MQ9#129740 HAHA! For sure. I would hate to meet the mother who raised her!
@NonnyB17#129741 Yes, same problem. I use the same verified SSN and birthdate. Of course, they don’t understand that if you were born in 1958 that your SSN was not issued until you started working. Duh.
