He insisted even with an Indian accent. This has to be really one of the more original fake names I ever had an Indian scammer use with me.

@MQ9#152041 OMG - This was a first… They guy answered SSA and I did the usual ‘got a message to call’ routine. He launched right into “Yes, there is a charge under your social security number and you need to pay $2400 immediately”. WTF? He said there was some criminal activities under my social and that I needed to take responsibility for that activity, and then asked how I would like to pay. Said I could wire transfer the money or use the government secured electronic funds (ie: gift cards). This just blew me away since he hadn’t asked for squat - not my name, social, anything. I played him for a bit and then just called him out. I asked how he could know I owed money since he didn’t even know who I was, and he just said “I don’t have time for this, do you want to pay the money or go to jail?”. LOL - and the whole time, it sounds like he was falling asleep, which he probably was - it’s like what, around 2am over in India at the moment.
I actually still have him on the line... but it has gone silent and has been for the last 10 minutes or so... maybe he did fall asleep! I did manage to get his name out of him - said he was Andrew Robinson. I'd give him a 4 out of 10 just for the surprise element, as otherwise it would have been more like a 2!
