What is this CJE eVoucher thing? I looked it up, and the websites regarding it seem hokey.
So I called the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and spoke to somebody there regarding the CJA eVoucher. It appears to be legitimate within the U.S. Government. The lady was very stubborn and did not want to hear what I had to suggest. She was adamant that it was used for legitimate purposes to, " for use by Criminal Justice Act attorneys and experts only. ". I suggested they put a disclaimer regarding potential abuse by scams, and she told me that the above quoted text was sufficient. She wasn’t having it, and I don’t get why.
What I don’t get is how exactly they use this system to exploit people.
