["Ssa scam ",“SSA Scam 817-865-3723”]

they don’t sound Indian. I think they are African wtf…

I talked to:

  • Betty Collins, Badge ID 74-2609310, Case DC-7010, her extension 001

I guess the romance scams are not working for them. They are doing ssa now.

@NeeP#113681 @NeeP FYI: There are about 4000 Nigerians in Delhi area. Many do 419 scams Z(while in Delhi) but lately I hear them in CRA and SSA scams. I called this number (very nis) many times and talked to Nigerian sounding females and Indian males. I also talked to Betty Collins.

Sounds African. Not your typical New Delhi operation. The phone lines are TERRIBLE. There is so much background noise and the VOIP lines clip so badly there is no way they could ever successfully see even one scam to its fruition.

I was blatantly obvious about trolling and they continued with the script. I was floored when I basically told them that I called them over 100 times this morning and that I had ten tabs open calling them currently and she STILL pressed me for my personal information.

Rookie-league stuff. And they keep on answering. This one is intriguing.

I cant get through. Must be down.

It’s back up, i’ve been spamming them with police donation robocalls and they answer all the questions, it’s hilarious

@drwat#113699 ah very interesting! Didn’t know that although I follow Punjab Police on Twitter and often when there’s some drug related crime it seems to be Nigerians/Africans aswell lol

In Delhi they must be in certain areas only I think cuz I haven’t seen a single African in Delhi yet (atleast not that I remember).

Funny they do now call center stuff aswell

One thing I’ve noticed with some poor shops is that they might not even have a computer in front of them, they’re using a corded landline phone.

I've put calls to SSA scammers where it was obvious to me the person was on a landline and seated in a cafe or some other storefront right next to the sidewalk, because I could barely hear the person over the traffic outside and the noise from the tiled room the person was in. Because, you know... every Social Security office isn't in some carpeted high-rise building with validated parking for seniors... but operates from a shop.

So they take the call in over VOIP and they usually use small-office ATA boxes that have 5-8 ports on them and hook landline telephones up to that, or they do it even more old-school by just forwarding the inbound calls to local telco numbers.

We have found scammers that were running as a dual clothing store in the front, and upstairs from the clothing store was the scam call center. The legit store downstairs pays for a 5-line bundle and forwards 4 of the numbers to the scam office upstairs and uses one for the store.

The telltale sign is line hum. With some scammers I hear 240V 60Hz mains voltage hum which can only happen on a POTS telephone along with an immense amount of line noise drowning the person out. Often the static is from using a cordless handset connected to the POTS line in an area where there is just a terrible amount of unshielded RF interference.

If it was digital all the way at both ends this kind of interference doesn't happen.

Right. I have scambaited couple of CRA calls and I encountered Indians and Nigerians in those calls

@kenzo#113789 You are right about the AC hum. They are operating a land line. The hum is very distinct in this video. Before I make the recording, I send the audio through an audio compression filter. This makes the hum even louder when the call is silent. I have heard this hum on other calls. I have even thought of running the audio through a filter to see if the hum is 60hz or 50hz. The 50hz hum is in European countries. Until you said it was 60Hz, I was not sure what it was in India.

This is the second time in the last two days that I have talked to Jeffery Tribrino the commissioner of the IRS. Here is my recording:

@AlanGreen2#113820 Very nice! You sound an awful lot like Hoax Hotel to me.

I have a new angle I've been experimenting with that is causing a lot of head scratching. I'll post it soon.

@AlanGreen2#113820 Thank you. In India power is 50 Hz. Good yo know onefake Jeffrey Tribiano is is there in this call center

@AlanGreen2#113820 In Delhi area it is very common for the power company to have “brown puts”. So most homes and small businesses have power inverters of ow quality which produce 50 Hz and harmonics.

South Delhi (where embassies are located) has less power outages.

@JONATHAND#113920 Yes I have heard the Hoax Hotel Youtube channel. I listened to his videos a long time ago. This is what got me interested in doing this.

Keep us posted on you experiments.

Thanks

@drwat#113924 Thanks for the info.
