@Otis#152010 Whoops… working now… got John Derrel on the line… typical stuff. Did the “don’t believe in banks” routine and refused to tell him how much money I had stashed… and that they would never find it because “The voices told me where to hide it, so it won’t be found”. Kind of freaked him out a bit 
But we got past that and he transferred me to his senior DEA officer as per the standard routine.
Senior guy was a Mr. Kevin Cooper. He jumped right in with both feed and was chugging along trying to overcome all the hickups I threw at him. He tried to insist that I disclose the amount of money I have at home, but I kept refusing and making references to the "Voices" telling me what to do. He did ask about them and I simply said "The voices in my head - you can't hear them, just like I can't hear the voices in your head". That did slow him down a bit, but then he jumped right back on script. He started asking about if I knew a couple of names, and then if I knew of anyone who I might suspect. I told him that I was suspicious of one of the tellers down at my bank, who had been asking questions a few months ago that made me kind of wonder what he was up to. Then I told him that I had some old undercover stuff in the basement from when I used to work security, and I could wear a wire and go talk to him - and his agents could sit out in the parking lot and record any information I could get out of him. Simple stuff... old 137Mhz transmitter that they should have.
He told me that we couldn't do that, because if the bank found out about my case, they would have to call authorities to have me arrested. I told him that wasn't a problem, and that nobody would know I was wearing the wire but me and the agents out in the parking lot. Then he said there are no agents in the parking lot, and what was I talking about? I said "No, YOU send the agents to the parking lot when I'm there - and they can record my conversation from their vehicle. You said you are an investigator for the DEA... haven't you ever heard of such a thing? It's done all the time.". He stumbled a bit and said that yes, he knew what I was talking about, and then tried to continue on with the script as if nothing had been said about wearing a wire and stuff. I wouldn't let it go though, and said "Wait... are you telling me that you don't want to check out the teller? You asked me if I had anyone I was suspicious of, and I told you I did... and am willing to help catch the guy and you seem to just blow that suggestion off... why are you being so obtuse?".
I think he had no idea what "Obtuse" meant... so he mumbled something and hung up. All further attempts to reach him have resulted in more hang-ups ☹️
