Active number and seems to be a very busy call center from the background noise. Officer Jack Wilson, Badge ID SSA 117, Case ID RG4685901, Warrant RG9936.
Two new things: 1) the car is now a Toyota Camry, not a Corolla. 2) One of the raided addresses is now in the zip code I gave him; the other two were still in Texas.
They sounded so busy, I was offered a call back but since BobRTC can't take incoming calls, I gave an excuse that my cell is blocked from receiving incoming calls because of too many robo calls. I was told to call 844-650-5823 and to ask for Officer Peter Black. Number rings to disconnect (called from a burner number). So I called back and talked again to Officer Wilson, who gave me another number: 515-717-6191. This time, ring-no-answer. Either they're too busy with the scam, or they were just trying to collect caller id. Likely just busy, because Wilson and I were doing just fine, and he was already starting to reel me in.
Can anyone answer my question on why all SSA scams want you to live in Texas or have gone to Texas well overall what’s the SSA scam have to do with Texas so much???
@Draco#136278 Not unexpected. Usually they fold tents around 3:00 PM PST. Let’s try again tomorrow. They were so busy, the “closer” aka “Senior DEA Officer” didn’t have time to talk to me today. Hopefully he was being led along a rabbit hole by fellow scambaiters and not actually victimizing an innocent person.
it is just a conversation piece to build up the scam story ( to keep the victim engaged). Why Texas? The scammer who originally wrote the script wanted a border state with Mexico to give the impression of drug dealing across the border.
Lastly, many Indians (in India) are copy cats. When one idea is successful, others become jealous and want to do the same. If you visit an Indian city and see a restaurant named “Taj Mahal” (example), you will also see competition restaurant named “The New Taj Mahal” or “Taj Mahal Curry House”
