Typical SSA Scam, but the Toyota was found on the southern border of Washington state. There were also some 5 different addresses ‘linked’ to the rented car, two of which were made up to be in the same zip code that I gave him at the beginning of the script (along with name and other initial info). I admit that this guy was hard to knock off script, but I tried. I kept Mr. David Cooper on the phone for about a half hour toying with him like a cat does a mouse until I finally got bored and went off on him when he asked if it was alright to suspend my SSN immediately to avoid going to court. I mentioned that it was not possible. He insisted it was, and he had orders from the Department of Treasury. Ha!

"Sorry Mr. Cooper.. but you cannot suspend my SSN. The Department of Treasury can't suspend my SSN. The FBI can't suspend my SSN. In fact, no US Government agency can suspend or revoke my SSN, and certainly some fool pretending to be a SSA agent sitting in a call center in India can't suspend my SSN".

He paused a second and then said something like "Fine, if you do not believe me, just hang up and I will go ahead and forward your information to the FBI for immediate arrest and jail time".

Guess what I did then? <grin>

Edit: This "frank johnson" is a pip. He just spent 15min having a conversation with Lenny the bot. I had to inject finally (I too get easily bored with this SOS) and gave him your spiel which made him sigh & hang. Fun times.
