Fresh robo-call SSA scam received at approx: 6pm Monday Nov 30. This one had a recording that gave you the option of either pressing ‘1’ to speak with an agent, or a number that you could call to reach them. I did both, and wound up having a conversation with a guy who had been doing this for 2 months because ‘the money is so good’ according to him. Talked for almost a half hour - nothing about SSA crap! After I was done, I called to confirm the number was valid and got some other fraud SSA bozo (James Morris) who wanted my full name and social.

I called back and just gave him my last 4 digits of the SSN… he put me on hold and then came back and said he needed the full number because “his search returned 33 people in the US that had the same last 4 digits”. So I asked him how many of those 33 had MY NAME? He acted all offended and said he was not there to answer my questions and demanded my full SSN. Gave him the talk about how SSA would never ask for full number, and that with my name and last 4 he should be able to find my file if he really was a SSA employee. Kind of pissed him off I believe, and he asked me if I would do him a favor. Told him “Sure, what you want”. Then he hung up :-o
