Active SSA scammers. Call em. They are pissed off!
Welcome to the 1990’s. These assholes are using MagicJack. To mess with them [email protected]
Ringing a good long time…no answer. I reported this abuse to Magic Jack…lets see if they take corrective action!
They appear to be down now.
Around 4:15 PM PDT I talked to Officer Susan Johnson, Badge ID SSA0402. She was about to give me the case and warrant numbers but got disconnected in mid-sentence. Succeeding calls just go to IVR with “no one is available”. Noisy background with people chatting, coughing, like people in a break room. Didn’t sound like active scamming in the background.
@ScamChod#136600 This from Magic Jack today:
Please be advised that telephone number 202-519-4547 is not a number that has been assigned to us. If calls are being placed from this number, someone is spoofing the number. There is nothing we can do about this as the calls are not being placed over our network.
Sincerely,

You are correct, ScamChod. The carrier of that phone number is "Twilio/Inteliquent (SMS-Sybase) (MMS-SVR)". Not Magic Jack. The scammer cloned the Magic Jack greeting on this number to throw us off, while they switched to a different number until things cool off. I predict they'll reuse this number again. 202 area code is in Washington DC and is a valuable tool in SSA scams, tricking potential victims that they are calling a number in the DC area.
Nice sleuthing, Jaymee! The good news is that Twilio is legit and I suspect they also have an abuse email. Lets see what happens…
