On September 17, 2025, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas, with assistance from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, arrested 27-year-old Cummings, Georgia resident Krishna Bharanue Daggubati and 29-year-old Frisco, Texas resident Sai Praveen Kommana for serving as money mules for a Social Security scam, where:
- The victim, in this case an 84-year-old woman, would receive a call from an Indian co-conspirator who would pose as an FBI agent and falsely claim their Social Security Number was tied to several bank accounts.
- In order to “safekeep” her assets and protect her identity, she was asked to withdraw money from her bank account and liquidate them into gold bars to be handed out to designated couriers, or money mules, who would pose as undercover FBI agents and transfer the money overseas.
- In one instance, the victim and the mules were asked to meet in the parking lot of a Dollar General, with the victim still in contact with the supposed ringleader, who operates from India.
Daggubati is currently being held at the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility on a $250,000 bond on charges of mistreating the elderly and attempted theft by deception. He is also placed on hold with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, so I HOPE HE ENJOYS GAUTMO!
Kommana, who was also charged with theft by deception, has posted his $125,000 bond and has since been released. Through his LinkedIn account, I was able to trace his activities back to Satcon Technologies Private Limited, a software consulting/BPO organization operating out of a Dwarka One office space at Plot no. 6 & 7, Survey no. 85 Madhapur Near Raheja Mindspace, Hyderabad, Telangana 500033, India
The company is listed on ZaubaCorp as operating under the leadership of Kommana Sai Praveen (DIN: 08672782) and Naga Kumar Jampana (DID: 06717659) since January 20, 2020. Jampana is also listed as a director for O2F Info Solutions Private Limited.
The company also falsely claims to do business in Irving, Texas, Santa Ana, California and Paya Lebar Square, Singapore.
