@vadim#144146 LOL - guy kept hanging up on me as soon as I would say “Hello”… finally, like after the fourth or fifth time I called, he asked “Why do you keep calling here”? I told him I got a message to call that number regarding something about my SSN. So he started the script. No idea why he hung up on me the first few times.
Anyway, got to the DOB and SSN and wouldn't accept the last 4. Launched into my "Oh Damn it, I thought this was real and you had me worried - now it turns out you are just a scammer as the SSN would never ask for my full SSN. Damn it. You are just one of those low life scammers trying to play me for a fool".
He kept at it - "No sir, let me explain...." and went in on how it was a highly confidential and sensitive matter and he had to make sure he was talking with the correct person, blah, blah, blah. I replied that was bullshit, and that with my name, DOB and last 4 of my SSN, the SSA could verify anyone. Unfortunately, somewhere in the middle of my rant, he hung up and now won't take my calls at all ;-(

They repeated their lined at least 4-6 times for each line before Mike finally understood. Went through 3-4 of them as each individually gave up trying to repeat their spiel. Currently getting dressed to get going to government store. These guys are true mental midgets.

I unfortunately dug myself in a bit of a hole. Initially, I planned to redeem the cards like in the previous days, but since my character required them to repeat each sentence about 5 times, I didn’t think it would be too believable for the old man to redeem the cards.
Instead, my "son" from Chicago got put on the phone and inquired who they were. jim cussed them a bit and they desperately wanted Mike to be put back on. They hanged up, and called after 30min. Old man Mike initially picked up, but then Jim showed up and got the phone from Mike and they suddenly went quiet, as if they were scared by Jim. That shit was hilarious. They are really stupid, we definitely found the 5th grade middle-school dropout center again.
