I’ve made an alt Twitter, posted that my account was hacked… and waited for the bots to role… and these are some scam Twitter accounts to waste their time:
@utopiantechh (x.com) this account is a recovery spam. They will claim they can recover your account (or the fake one you made) but then spam you into paying. As I’m not paying 95$ I won’t know what will happen next. Most likely they steal the money and don’t do anything else. I puzzled these people by asking: How do you have access to Google Servers? And they said they are a “verified as a resource for resoving account”. (Bad grammar, and took way to long to say that.) I sent them a grabify link, made it a bit.ly link, then sent to bit.ly link so Twitter will allow it to send. Didn’t click… but if they did they would find themselves on the rickroll video. This is a scam that happened in DMs, not on phone. I’m still trying my best to waste as much as their time as a can!
Reported the account to Twitter. I’ve never done this before so I don’t know if they’ll reply or do anything at all.
I have reported the account a while ago. I have reported a few others, one got suspended with a notification from Twitter, 2 I never heard back from.
