A scammer gave me a fake number and it ended up being the police so if you saw my last message then don’t call that number

So you didn’t validate your number before you posted?

Typically at least two scam call centers in India use that scheme. The call with spooded police/sheriff/RCMP (Canada) numbers and threaten you.

These are two popular fake police office names they use:

“Nate Shaw” and “Hamas Marshall”

@drwat#95746 Terrible, just terrible. It’s important to check your numbers before casting your line. I know the police department’s phone number in my town by heart so I can only imagine how scared I would be to see that come up and also the rage I’d go into if it were a scammer. Shame on those pricks for doing such a thing.
