Received a voicemail from 504-584-7204 (New Orleans, LA) stating that “the legal enforcement action is being filed on your name and social security number for criminal activities so before we proceed with any legal actions give us a call back at the call back number that is 504-584-7204 I repeat the number once again 504-584-7204 now I warn you to not disregard this message and give us a call back soon as possible goodbye and take care”.
When I called the number back, it was answered by an Indian sounding man with lots of noise in the background (clearly a call center). They immediately started asking for personal details (name, ssn, dob, address, etc.) and then stated that there were criminal charges against me and that the SSN, DOJ, FTC, BBB, and more were all listening to the call and recording as well. Obviously a scam, they soon hung up on me. I called back a few times, but they eventually blocked my number.

Asked my full SSA and birthday and said I was too fast which is so stupid because if they were for real they would have it on their screen. Ugh they are so stupido. For sure they do not like the baby crying and dog barking in the background.
@Otis#144400 It is for real. I have been to the Federal Social Security Office of the Republic of Texas Administration Department. It is in Muleshoe! In a trailer behind a dive bar. Or maybe it was the dive bar. I cannot remember anything except the bucking bronco and the wonderful cowboy in tight jeans and the tequila and hanging off the ceiling fan. But it cost me nothing!!!
Right off the bat the “officer” knew I was yanking his chain. So I told him, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Go ahead, Google your number, it is posted all over the place. So I asked if he’s happy with what he’s doing. Surprisingly, he said no, “I want to get out of this shit hole. Please understand I have to pretend that I am talking to a customer. What is your fake SS number? What is your zip code? What is your fake date of birth?” I continued that I own a Toyota Corolla with blood and drug residue, etc etc. "You know everything. I will transfer you to a senior DEA officer, please play along, tell him that you have over $100,000 bank balance, that will get them excited. Speak manly, don’t pretend you have a condition. Just ask him to help you get out of this problem. And waste much of his time.
He hesitated a bit, everyone is on the line. Are you busy today, I asked. He said no, we're getting lots of prank calls. HA HA HA!
The DEA Officer came on the line then put me on hold. I think he ain't coming back,.
@jaymee#144410 Sorry, I do not feel sorry. I have been dealing with these creeps for 11 years now. I have heard every sob story in the book. Orphan orphan orphan, corrupt government, can’t get a job, cannot get in the military, on and on and one. I have had them text me because I felt sorry for them and every one of those ended in them asking for money. Or they have told me they are leaving and two weeks later I call a different number and there is the same guy again. They refuse to get a job as a janitor or cleaning toilets. I had to do those kinds of jobs when I left home at 16. They want all the perks in life RIGHT NOW. I have no pity left for them. None.
They answered can here laughing and tallong on back ground … I say I am returning a call… (Unauible) this is a scam … I said what ?? He says its a scam …sorry none able to take your call right now went straight to that ? never had that happen b4
