Got a call from the usual Social Security scammers. Sounds kind of busy over there, scamming away the poor helpless souls in the world…
Get them! And get them good!

@SilentWeebFam1#162331 My phone line was out for about a week, and I finally got it back working yesterday. This morning starting right around 10am, the calls started coming. It’s been 4 hours now, and I’ve received 5 calls regarding lowering my credit card interest, 2 SSA scams, 1 Amazon refund scam, 1 extend the warranty on my vehicle scam and 1 final expense insurance scam. Only one I’m missing that I can think of is the solar energy guys wanting to put solar panels on my roof for free.
On one of the SSA scams, I blurt out "OMG, this doesn't have anything to do with my filing an extension on my taxes, does it?". He reassured me it had absolutely nothing to do with that and started into the 'suspicious' activity stuff, when I interrupted him again "Oh, that is great - let me ask you, while I have you on the phone - what is the due date to file by when you file for an extension? I know there was some confusion this year due to them moving the due date for regular filers back three months, and was wondering if the extension file date was moved back as well". Silence for a few seconds then the expected click of hanging up.
