Additional information about this scam: Received a call from David Smith, who works for the Inspector General, who is a public representative. He is investigating social security not giving senior citizens their cost of living increase. Asked for social security number, date of birth, place of birth, mother’s maiden name, how much I receive and the day of the month I receive my social security. He gave up too quickly when I said I wouldn’t verify all information. I did have time to question him if people really believe he works on a Sunday and if his scam works. Immediately hung up.
