One company GS Computer Support Services
Our good friend Nanobaiter recently gained access to their CCTV cameras and exposed their scam in the following video, which the legendary @JimBrowning11 promoted on Twitter:
The popups are operated by Skysailor Ventures Private Limited to facilitate a technical support scam under the guise of Amazon, requiring users to give them remote access through AnyDesk or UltraViewer so they can falsely claim hundreds of hackers are on the victim’s network. In order to protect their devices, the victims will be asked to subscribe to their service via check, credit card or PayPal, with the following rates:
$299.99 for two years
$399.99 for three years
$499.99 for five years
Between 2021 and 2024, the scammers generated roughly $1.1 million in revenue per year for a grand total of $2,785,728. Nanobaiter responded to their scam by
Reporting their Google AdSense account
Reporting their website to GoDaddy
Reporting the scammer’s service agreements to DocuSign
Sending the scammers’ AnyDesk IDs to Matt.
Reported Rajat Sharma’s personal information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Manually refunded victims through the scammer’s PayPal accounts, which were later permanently banned.
The scammers responded by shutting down their CCTV cameras in late December, 2023 and taping all of their webcams.
