On April 11, 2026, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in Columbus, Washington arrested 22-year-old Simranjeet Singh and 23-year-old Vaibhav Sharma, both Indian nationals illegally residing in Bakersfield, California, for facilitating Social Security scams where
- The scammers will call their victims under the false personation of customer support representatives, falsely claiming fraudulent charges were made on an account of theirs.
- The call will then be transferred to a coworker posing as a representative of the victims’ bank, who will also falsely claim the victim had purchased CHILD P0RN FROM P0RNHUB.
- In order to resolve the matter, the victim will be asked to withdraw money from their bank account and hand it off to a designated courier, or money mule.
The two were arrested on charges of attempted theft by false representation and are currently being held on a $12,500 bond and an ICE detainer. Normally, I’d hope they’d enjoy Gautmo, but given the scare tactics they had used, I’d personally rather see them be given a lethal injection.
