Scam Number: 207 804-1735
Claiming to be “Cumberland county sheriff” and cold calling people saying they are on cctv doing crimes. He sounds southern, just like the other sheriff ones I’ve called
“ claimed to be an officer of the law investigating the fraudulent receipt of an important legal document regarding a high profile case. He asked me to confirm my name and address (which I foolishly did). He told me that two officers tried to bring me a document on April 28 at 1:45 pm. I told him that I’ll verify that with the building management and review the CCTV footage. The guy got mad and threatened me with criminal charges. I told him I would call him back after I viewed the footage. I called the guy back, and he has a message stating that he is Officer James Wilton with the Cumberland County Sheriff Department.”
Okay I got a bonkers location hit on this one. Hit happened at 8:59 Eastern time, going to Singapore. Do you think this is accurate or a VPN? @SouthernCulture_x
