Additional information about this scam: Found it on validnumber, they described a law enforcement impersonation.
Their messaging system could convince a victim, it is set up as Contra Costa Sheriff in California. And they answered, are doing the jury duty script.
I believe it is a GV number.
Wanted me to Zelle $3017.89 to [email protected]
Then wanted me to goto get Bitcoin at a gas station.
So convoluted. We sent you a court summons, it came back signed. We need to run a signature analysis to clear you. In the meantime we can put you in jail or you can handle this in civil court then they provide the many ways to pay them.
