I got a call from service canada, I got encrypted with ransomware at my work and they stated that in order to unlock the network, release the bank account and avoid the magistrate, I must pay a fee in bitcoins through the encrypted ransomware communications channel. Which they called and used the encrypted communications channel and crypto currency for the payment. There was the other thing that happened as welll at the same time, which was crazy. They also told me to come out and meet them with gift cards from the building.
basically it was like someone stole my identity, and then bought a porche and then they got smashed up by a police vehicles outside the area and then they went to jail. but i had to pay the bitcoins, but they had stolen all my money as well at the bank account, but the bitcoins had to be paid up and gift cards. Also i think that someone got kidnapped and they held them until the bitcoins were paid out.
then i think I wasnt suppose to find out because it was like witness protections issue. but it was all a scam.
then microsoft called from redmond and asked if there was the need of any assistance about the blocked networks
