I bring to the community a list of active and monitored numbers that are being used in various tech support scams. These can range from Norton/McAfee activation scams to standard tech support scams, all of which are operating out call centers in India. These numbers have been verified in advanced and will have screenshots, websites and telco information available to the community. Please be advised, many scammers are now answering the phones as “customer support” or as “support” due to many of their numbers being taken down for fraud and impersonation. Please do not spam the email addresses with automated emails. Report appropriately and respectfully if and only IF you can.

Additional information about this scam: This is a McAfee antivirus activation scam. This call center loves to use Ring Central numbers. They claim to not be McAfee even though their IVR says “Thank you for calling McAfee”

Scammer denied being McAfee despite the fact that his IVR very clearly stated “Thank you for calling McAfee” His excuse was that it was “the old number” even though he’s still answering said “old number” he proceeded to say “f*** off” numerous times (not included in the recording)

Answered as “suppoat,” but refused to name a specific company.

Blocks calls from VoIP numbers.

Calls go to the voicemail for “Mike Wood.”

A lot of scammers have begun blocking VoIP numbers. Be on guard.

These scammers are thirsty and will call you back with spoofed numbers.

Currently active: 844-618-9020 Norton tech support scam (is currently angrily talking to a baiter in the background) (Number is on Telnyx: [email protected])

Called me back on a different number while I was still on call with him on the toll free number, which is typical of scammers who use 800TFN

8444455747 is now returning the message “This number cannot be reached from your calling area”. From both VoIP and nom VoIP numbers. This has previously been observed to be the disconnection message for DIPVTEL

I bring 2 more for the community. These are Norton technical support scam numbers. One is a toll free number on Google voice but carried on Intelliquent (owned by Sinch) and the other is a call back number the scammer used to me back on after verifying the number. It too is a Google Voice number but on Bandwidth.
