I think the forum would be served well by having a bot that tracks movements in the leaderboard. It would promote gamification and get our members more engaged. It could either post at a certain time each day and post everything from the last day, or it could post live updates. Some example posts: x" just passed y on the leaderboard, taking 10th place!", “Z has passed 4 users today!” or “T has posted 10 times in a n hour!”. And announcements for each monthly winner. Please share your thoughts! I think the point system on bobRTC was engaging for many users and while we have one here, it hasn’t generated the same traction, but this could change the tide. The downsides I can foresee are some additional clutter on the forum and more competitiveness. I would probably hope to see an opt out option for our less competitive members.
