Scammers with conscience

Spoke to a bunch of scammers at the IRS number. Instead of swearing at them be nice and tell them there are alternatives. They all seem to have major problems . Give them some good words and maybe they will listen.

Scammers are only out to steal money, even the ones who have a conscience or pretend to anyway. They don’t have a conscience while they are taking someones money, do they?..nope! So they don’t deserve any leniency.

They might only being nice because they got an ass beating today:

i have always thought to what my mentality would have been when i was a young adult struggling to make enough to live on, how i would have reacted to different responses given their situation, as best i understand it. not to say i think i can capture their mindset, i know i can’t.

but, i know if i was supposed to spend my days stealing from chinese people over the phone, having chinese people calling me, making racist insults and screaming at me and shit, that'd be my fuel. it'd be the thing that i'd lean on as a psychological crutch... this is why these people deserve to get scammed by me. you're using whatever racist insults... that's cool, i remember than when i drain your grandma's checking account, etc

i waste their time but i have always thought, when people get to being insulting and degrading, you only help them do their jobs well

that said, any time i’ve heard these guys giving a sob story to someone they feel might be receptive to it, it has always seemed to be yet another con, another attempt to possibly extract money.

you have to keep in mind, these guys typically only have to successfully scam one person every few months, to have a net gain

I would have to disagree, because ALL of these people knew before making a call they are not from the IRS, SSA or CRA government agencies. Its an expectation they might be caught as liars trying to steal money, so I doubt the insults or degrading fuel them beyond what they already thought of, before they decided to take the job of calling other countries and pretending to be a gov agent of that country to steal peoples money.

Now that I would agree with as they are sneaky people who do these types of scams and its their "job" to con with whatever works. Personally, I have NO sympathy for any of these scammers!

@MKHNT#101441 it’s not sympathy, i think it’s pretty basic like, especially since most of them are relatively young, pretty uneducated etc… but even if they weren’t

if i felt like i had to steal for a living, i'd be looking for ways to justify it, looking for reasons why they deserve it, to avoid the other option, that i'm just a bad person. nobody wants to think they are just a shit person, people do all kinds of mental gymnastics to avoid having to face that when it is true

giving them those justifications, surely makes it much easier for them. pulling someone one out of the space where they might be feeling bad for what they're doing, to giving them a reason to be angry and their scamming is an act of getting justice or punishing deserving parties, in their own minds

@CometPizzaDaddy#101444 I can agree with the overall mindset some of these scammers have towards easing their conscience towards being wrong in what they are doing, but I still maintain it does not help them improve at scamming. If anything, insulting them and degrading them only serves to anger them, upset them and cause them to be less effective at the next person they try to scam.

A person with a conscience towards others will not think as clearly when they have just been confronted with the facts of what they are doing is wrong and the feelings that were conveyed at them for doing it. A person with a conscience would naturally be thinking about what they are doing and have some sort of doubts about it, understanding the how the victim must feel.

Most scambaiters who talk to these scammers call them scammers and they ridicule them for being a scammer. So the insulting/degrading remarks are always directed at a "scammer", not towards the nationality, religion or a race in particular. Those aspects are tools to convey the message of disgust towards what they are doing by finding one that has an impact on their responses. I can't see how a person with a conscience would self-justify what they are doing because their "victim" got angry and called them names for trying to steal from them.

I believe the insulting/degrading aspects are effective at disrupting some scammers to the point they cannot continue as well as they did before being ridiculed. This is of course the ones who might have a conscience about what they do. Those with no conscience will not be effected by the hostility towards them, just angry they could not succeed at stealing the money.

Remember, these scammers know they are stealing from people, not a Country and they are all Con artists, so conscience or not, they know what they are doing is wrong and still chose to do it.

Yeah I’ve talked to alot of scammers this week that just want to talk. We talk about the stuff in India and the ask about stuff here. No personal info given out on my end. I’m a female and I sound like to them I’m in my 70s. One female scammer said she flew to California and visited for 2 months. It was a guy that called late into a call center and she made friends with him. She said people were rude to her. I said yeah. People might be rude to you because of some middle eastern Indians are scammers. Probably they have been scammed or know someone that has. There are good and bad people in any race. Don’t know if she is telling me the truth. Just I just kept her on the phone.

Yeah, I was asking a scammer earlier today why do they work there. They said they had to provide for their family so I told him that what they are doing is hurting families. He said he would think about what I said and would maybe quit his job. But not sure if he was joking or not bc he blocked me :joy:

Lol scammers are strange creatures

(Number I called is somewhere in this website)
