So I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had today, this morning I spoke to a scammer from the “IRS” who was very persistent more then normal, even sent his FBI
badge to me, which was obviously fake! Finally after the 50’th call I told them they were BS scammers and I was calling the police! A few hours go by, I’m home all of a sudden my home with my beautiful 7 yr old Daughter was surrounded by several officers, guns were drawn and the scammer had said I had him locked in my closet and I was stabbing him to death, they used my phone to find my address so please be careful this was the worst day EVER…

@Jill1977#87777 Jesus that’s fucked, did you use your real number?
@Jill1977#87777
Yeah being SWAT'ed sucks, and depending on how poorly trained the police are near you, can be quite dangerous (in Houston they have had a nasty habit of shooting first and asking questions later which is why that particular city is staring down the barrel of multiple multi-million dollar lawsuits).
If you can't get a voip account working, using a burner phone with a drugstore SIM card and setting your address to a vacant lot or a parking garage is a good alternative.
Did the Scammer call the police spoofing you mobile number ? thus the police traced the caller to your house ?
@Markiemm#87793 absolutely lesson learned ![]()

@Jill1977#87777 Swatted WTF! I have fireRTC, TalkOne, TextNow and Google Voice for my scambaiting. I prefer fireRTC as often I spoof the scammer’s own relay number. I can often get them to rage block their own number. I will often call scammers with another scammer’s number, like the SSA calling IRS and so on.
NEVER, NEVER, EVER USE YOUR REAL NUMBER . . .
@Markiemm#87793 oh…now I know why! Is there a Wiki on how to get fake numbers?
@Jill1977#87777 I think you were calling the same fake SSA number that I was calling yesterday. It was the first time an SSA scammer has asked me to send a picture of my drivers license to another phone number. I found it odd and aggressive on their part to ask that question.
Then I saw that you were calling them and you mentioned that they called back while spoofing 911. I have never seen them spoof 911 before. So I looked up your profile and saw that you had signed up here 7 days ago. It almost occurred to me that you may be using your own phone number. However, I thought that you must have been using something like TextNow. TextNow uses a regular number where you can receive calls. It basically works like a regular phone number. However, you do not have to sign up for TextNow with your real name.
Everything you do with scam baiting must be fake. My name on here is fake. Even my first name is not real. The SSNs, birthdays, names, addresses, zip codes, bank accounts, and phone numbers I use in a call are all fake.
I would like to do Tech support scams with a Virtual Machine, however, these scammers can get your general location by looking up your IP address. I won't do a Tech support scam without a VPN. A VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. It hides your IP address. I don't want to fool with the free VPNs and I won't pay the paid VPNs, so I just don't do Tech support. I will call Tech support and refund scammers, but I never let them on my computer.
I'm sorry this happened to you.
TextNow let’s you change your number I think twice a month, which is why I prefer fireRTC, I got my account just under the wire before they stopped accepting new accounts.
Any ideas on how to rack up textnow minutes besides watching the ads or doing surveys/downloads?
@Jill1977#87777 Be careful. Hide your identity you name, your address, your phone number, disguise your voice if practical. If using PC use VPN.
@AlanGreen2#87828 thanks so very much, I’m definitely learning
