ScammerBlaster Message When Calling Scammer Phone Number

Gregarious greetings to you fine folks.

I just wondered if anybody has experienced this. Today is 02-Dec-2021. I got the following Text Message today around 11:30 AM Central to my Google Voice VOIP Home Phone number. It says the following:

New text message from (786) 819-7977

From MyGoogleVoiceHomePhoneNumberInNumericalForm. [email protected]

EBAY Alert: Your Account has been charged for $850.00 USD for buying BITCOIN under your account, if you do not recognize contact : (201)-627-5250

So around 1:30 pm Central today when I read the text message, I called from my TextNow number the (201) 627-5250 in the text message. Obviously this is an EBay scam text message. When my call went through to (201) 627-5250, it said something about reaching scammerblaster.com, about “Welcome to ScammerBlaster.com”. This happened the first TWO times I called (201) 627-5250, it said something about “Welcome to ScammerBlaster.com” but the THIRD time I called (201) 627-5250 a scammer answered as EBay and he had an Indian or Pakistani accent. Obviously I did not make buy Bitcoins for $850.00.

What happened? Did ScammerBlaster.com or someone hack into their phone system and insert the message about “Welcome to ScammerBlaster.com” for (201) 627-5250 for awhile and then the scammers figured it out and proceeded to remove the ScammerBlaster.com greeting?

I am just curious. I’d not had this happen to me in the past while calling Scammer phone numbers.

Thanks much,

Hviezdoslav
