Welcome back :grinning:

Saying auto insurance . compare auto insurance.com

The only thing I found was an unassociated listing in the search engines for MNS & Associates LLC (Collections Agency) but this number is not among the many listed ones on that BBB listing of them.

I fail to see a connection to this number or how you came to the conclusion they are who called. Could you provide more detail about the call?

I will try and get more information next time before they hang up.

Thank you!

I wish I could provide more information on the call because I could barely understand her, broken English and bad connection. The only other thing I can say is that I was an idiot and didn’t look at my phone before answering it and it said it was a scam call. Just realized my T-Mobile Scam Shield app was disabled or most likely would have caught it.

It is possibly a telemarketing call and not a scam call, if calling back revealed it was an Insurance call. Or the number may have been spoofed. The problem comes more from not really knowing what they called about.

In an effort to combat spam and scam calls, many carriers have adopted new technology. This technology is in response to the STIR/SHAKEN laws and allows call recipients to flag numbers as “spam risk” or “scam likely”. When a caller ID shows this information to a recipient, they can decide whether to answer. This information relays the flags from other recipient’s interactions with the number. Many are merely “missed call” reports and don’t really reflect who actually called.
Because of those new laws, it only adds to the confusion of who called and still doesn’t address the main purpose of why that law was created in the first place, which was to end call spoofing. So in essence, when you see “scam likely” or “spam risk”, all that means is people flagged the number, but still didn’t know who called or if it was in fact a scam, spam or just a wrong number. Too many people now just flag a call because they don’t know who it was and the service providers just label it with a generic warning title.

Thank you for the update, I will make sure I get more information next time.
