Scammer? Help!

I’m sort of a newbie to scam baiting so I can’t tell if this is a scam. Of course I didn’t listen. They said it was Hilton Hotels and I won a trip. Then it sent me to a live agent here’s the number

412-288-5587

If someone can definitely tell me it’s its a scam I will get to work annoying them! Thanks!

@ILoveScamBaiting#85978 There’s a small chance the phone number will be back in service tomorrow, but I have a strong feeling that they simply altered their callerID before dialing you, as most businesses making cold calls do. They made an outbound call to you, right?

Definitely a scam. I’ve been a Hilton Diamond members for years and I’ve stayed in a few of their timeshare grand vacation club properties. They don’t give away free stays EVER but you can’t get a discounted stay if you’ll attend a timeshare presentation and they’ll usually throw in Hilton Honors points and maybe an entertainment voucher. Usually those offers are made to frequent stayers at their properties or they get mailing lists from RCI.

What the scammers do is mention Hilton or Marriott etc to make it sound legitimate and then offer you a vacation package to Cancun and a 3 day Bahamas cruise and also a 7 day stay in ft Lauderdale or Orlando.

I’ve seen mostly bad reviews for these vacation deals” but I just waste their time when they call. Legitimate companies do not send free travel to random people. They don’t need “word of mouth” advertising for their businesses to be successful.
