Scambaiting Strategies: The Battle Ax

I assume that there are any number of methods that members are using to scambait. YT vids in particular highlight the mental gymnastics behind the 1:1 deception of call to waste a scammer’s time. Its deft, requires a quick wit, some able use of tech tools and is entertaining to watch/listen to.

But I have to admit, I genuinely detest these people for what they do and I much prefer the brute force approach of flooding their lines until they give up on that number because it doesn't make "business sense" to keep it. I often hear the moans and cussing of other scammers in the background as they try to deal with a flood of ever changing numbers. I particularly like changing up auto-redial with single dial approaches to tell them that this will not stop. 9 out of 10 times they submit and move on. Do they acquire another number? Sure. But time is money to these criminals and the time it takes to launch another campaign is costly to them. They depend on these numbers remaining viable for most of the day to attract as many victims is possible.

This approach does cost but its well worth it to hear their collective frustration!
