Did the same thing, but verified my caller ID via Free SMS Verification with US Phone Number | Reliable & Secure | MobileSMS.io (search online for things like free sms verification 2022 etc. - some people in r/privacy said this got around Discord’s phone verification, so I use it for many things now). I can’t change my caller ID to something random sadly, but it’s good enough for free VoIP calls.

Yes. The site I linked is non-VoIP.
MobileSMS.io doesn’t update their numbers very often, it updates every 2 months or so??? I’ve used it in May.

Telnyx refuses to make accounts. Zopier and Zadarma dont work with me.
Hi, so when i try to go to BobRTC it say everything is fine but then the website turns white. This happens on every device i use. I used ipad and pc.

You can also “spoof” call. spoof calling is using fake numbers, some spoof apps offer voice altering, etc. Also using auto tapping app on the phone or macro software on computers can let you automatically dial with various numbers to scammers while you’re asleep, or not using your device.
And then there is a virtual soundboard device that allows playback prerecorded conversations. It’s a very effective pranking tool and can be used creatively… I’ve seen many phone pranks on youtube with a soundboard and they were hilarious…

I’m a newbie easing my way in. I don’t know if its safe yet to call from GV with Nord turned on or if I need to to do more work before I can start making calls.
noord vpn is a pretty shit vpn, id recommend something like mullvad, protonvpn, ivpn, etc.
however none of this matters for google voice. google voice calling isnt peer to peer and goes through google’s servers so your ip will not be exposed by calling, and even if it was thats extremely low stakes. id say its only worthwhile using a vpn if youre letting them onto a vm or visiting their sites, the actual calling side of things you should be fine.
i will note that whatsapp and telegram (by default) are p2p calling, and you may want a vpn to use if you call scammers on those, however you need to get a vpn that allows p2p traffic.
