Did the same thing, but verified my caller ID via https://mobilesms.io/free-sms-verification/ (search online for things like free sms verification 2022 etc. - some people in r/privacy said this got around Discord’s phone verification, so I use it for many things now). I can’t change my caller ID to something random sadly, but it’s good enough for free VoIP calls.
