SCAMAZON 888-802-3080 working number. Indian Call Center. Attempted charge. Credit Union Blocked

SCAMAZON will not know you have this message from my credit union so just pretend you are calling about a REFUND. DON’T mention the credit union blocked it. Thanks

Or maybe not the real number. Like someone posted why would need a text first?

The text is some weird string i asked her about gave me sum malarkey and hard for me understand bcuz accent, but it had nothing do with the link in that text. Many many web sites about this # being a scam. But she said its outsourced in the Philippines like Doc said. Have go thru that voice prompt or hit #

Maybe they worked both as legit and scammers. If that number is a scam, this is the only possibility. Some scam call centres do work legit and scam at the same time, courtesy a recent Jim Browning video.

18888023080 highly scammy if you ask me

According to Somos (Find a Toll-Free Number | Somos) the number is held by Amazon, as they are their own RespOrg. So it should be real - but you never know…

Amazon have hundreds of these types of numbers across all toll free prefixes
they’re especially populated with these in the lower end of the 844 prefix
I come across them all the time during searches

I have heard of scammers using the official genuine Amazon email domain and these numbers to suck victims in, then progress them to alternate numbers after contact has been made via return email

not sure if this is a scam

I got a text after saying Yes to send a message. The link they sent points to a real amazon.com address.

Thinking aloud: Unless the link allows them to see our sign-in activity. hmmmm. :expressionless:

I think so too. Outsourced to India, legitimate but shady employees.
