The party is alleged to be a Support unit for Venmo. Total scam. They ask you to download a software which effectively takes control of your PC. Never do THIS. Always fatal. Part of the problem is that Venmo does not easily permit you to take back a payment made to a non registered Venmo account. It should be stopped before you release the payment. I must have come across this fraudulent in the course of trying to recover the payment…
