Scam debt collector?

Additional information about this scam: This was a number I got from the Nomorobo scanner so I called to verify. They have been robocalling people saying there is an ongoing investigation with them. 208-427-8213 definitely seems like a scam to me. They answered as Regional Solutions & wanted to know the number I was calling from but wouldn’t tell me what the case was in regards to. It’s either a fraudulent debt collector or just a flat out scam from the ground up. maybe you guys will have better luck than I did. Just a quick note: I asked the lady where she would like ker cumshot & she responded “in my mouth” so yeah, definitely on the up & up.

Couldn’t find ANYTHING on this so-called “Regional Solutions” debt collection company regarding their legitimacy etc. It’s like a ghost company, not surprising for a bunch of low-ball scammers. That’s a big red flag to start with.

In my opinion, it’s already enough of a red flag if it’s picked up on Nomorobo - Although of course, I understand there can always be an error where a number is incorrectly flagged etc. However, the chances of that are just so low and slim that it’s unbelievable at this moment in time.

They pick up without actually identifying the company, or at least that’s what I just dealt with, and they ask almost straight away for a case number. If you don’t have one, they will hang up on you. That’s another red flag.

I found the reference: 208-427-8213 | 12084278213 - Unknown Caller - Nomorobo

As you can see, I’m listening to the transcript. I can confirm the claimed office number as seen in the text is heard as: 305-574-9896 | I can also confirm the claimed case number to reference as seen in the text is heard as: 857-6206.

I did research on the (305) 574-9896 and so far found the following:

I called the (305) 574-9896 number this time round. At this moment in time, they are not answering - Interesting - There is a voicemail box that appears to have been setup though so little messages can be left.

Yeah I know nomorobo can sometimes ensnare legit businesses in its grasp which is why I always go in cautiously, but the more I pressed these people the more nasty they got. I also couldn’t find any company by that name that dealt with legal issues. The best I could come up with was some green energy consulting company. But the fact that they cursed me out, played sound effects over the phone from their computers, & answered all of my dirty questions with more profanities tells me everything I need to know. Scammers at worst & fraudulent company at best.

Maybe, next time you call them and speak to them pretend that’s who they are - pretend your a client with this green energy consulting company etc and then see what happens. That should do the trick of trolling them more. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

I think I’ll try that tomorrow thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime I urge people to call these scumbags themselves and waste their time. Interesting note: That answering machine you mentioned had a full voicemail so you can’t even leave a message if you wanted & just another red flag to show what a scam they are. No legit business is going to leave a full voicemail box.

Also they can see caller ID info on blocked numbers so be careful if calling from a non virtual number.

Earlier, it told me to just leave a message so that must’ve filled up fast on that 305 number since I pointed that out. And yes true, no legit business would leave their voicemail box full.

Also, how can they see caller ID info on blocked numbers?? I just call from my VOIP numbers anyways, although they currently don’t have a private number feature - so it doesn’t matter too much to me right now. But I’m intrigued to know whatever piece of “software” they are using and how it works.

I’m not sure what software they are using but I’ve encountered the same thing with other American scammers & legit American businesses as well. They are probably using some professional grade voip service which they will not disclose.

Anyway I’m going to start calling these sleezeballs again.
