Hi everyone, I’m being driven nuts by scammers. I sell used cars and I have been advertising in the local craigslist for the past 6 months. More than half the calls I get are from scammers. what they do is they are posing as a customer and want to get the vin # to check out the history of the car and what they do is take that vin# and use it to rip other people off. So at first I was able to eliminate this by doing a freecarrier lookup on numbers, and everyone that called that I didn’t hear from again all had enflick/netrual tandem/bandwidth.com #s. Whenever I would tell them I no longer do business with these ph#s most of the time they just go silent. So this stopped them for a month or so then it started again but this time from “Bell South Mobility” numbers…when I looked them up they went out of business. I’m nervous however because now when I am telling people I no longer do business with Bell South Mobility and once again, these #s stopped calling me realizing I caught on. I fear what they are going to pull next, has anyone gone through this? And how are they getting #'s from a carrier that is no longer in business? Thx be well and stay safe out there.
