Additional information about this scam: These people continue to call my number after being asked not to several times over 2 years. I have never called them. They are now resorting to texting after calling me again last week. I am on the DNC registry and they are in violation of that law. They are hitting Cook and DuPage county area codes. I am marking this Ask an Expert so someone more experienced can look into it.

I posted minutes after receiving it. If possible try a Cook County area code in your call system. 708, 630, 312. They shouldn’t be down that fast but I’m happy if they are.
I tried the number with all the area codes provided & got nothing as well. Please post again when contacted & I will try then. I would feel comfortable if an expert got involved myself.
I never tried to call the number. Every time that they have called I have gotten a text a week later. I have told them in the past that I am on the Do Not Call list and I asked them not to call again. I have asked them, when they’ve called, for their business location and company name. I am only told Chicago area and nothing else. My area is known for scams like this where they give a free inspection, find something and give a great quote. You give them a small down payment for supplies and they are never heard from again. People are left with a signed contract that is worthless and thousands of dollars poorer.
I just tried calling that number and it rings. Is it possible that they only accept calls from the numbers that they’ve texted?
Could be, as I’ve had extended warranty scammers try filtering calls by requesting customer IDs
Yeah that makes sense now that you mention it. Too bad because I was really hoping to get a quote on my roof.
They replied back just the day before with ‘morons’ to the same message.
