I pretended that i had a problem with my roku then i kept making excuses why I couldn’t do something. Then I questioned them asking if it was a scam and they told me “do you want to fix it or not” then I told them that I didn’t even own that device. They left the chat and baned me on that computer. I went back on from a different computer and did the same thing I also got baned I went back on to the website later and the website was gone.
Just had my first scambait call and it was absolutely hilarious, the guy kept calling me “ma’am” even though I repeatedly said, “I am a sir” I even offered to share my Roku “password” just so I could get his email but he declined for obvious reasons. The best part is the end. I claimed to have trouble using Teamviewer in an attempt to get his ID so I could see what files they have there. Surprisingly, he admitted “Roku Support” was based in India and I said “there are lots of scammers there” and he assured me he wasn’t one (yeah right) Enjoy!
Just had my second call with them, they clearly are keeping track of victims because later in the call they asked if my name was what my fake name was the first call and I said no and eventually I just told the “senior manager” Amanda that I was reporting them to the government and TeamViewer so they can’t use it anymore.
The two "agent names" I got were Sam Anderton and Amanda. If you call them ask for the senior manager and If it is not Amanda just confuse them I guess.
