Does anyone here have any excellent ways on how I can get a scammer to download TeamViewer if they don’t already have it for whatever given reason? As well luring them to giving me THEIR ID so I can connect to THEIR computer? (Or even if it’s another remote control software - if anyone can also label them that’d be great and I’ll try them). Also will they see my IP or… anything of the sort if I connected to theirs successfully via TeamViewer or any other remote control software for that matter? (never have used it before) but if I’m not wrong there some apps similar to this may just say (this person has connected, here’s some of their names, maybe their ip BLAH BLAH BLAH. I may be slightly wrong though.)
Just want to be on the absolute safe side of things ya know.
as for your ip it probably will be leaked, and these servers seem like they might be p2p anyways so best idea is to use a vpn if possible. if you need a recommendation i recommend proton because it has a killer free plan and is really trusted in the privacy world.
So what other remote connection software would you recommend? Also for me, the protonvpn website won’t load! Not sure what to do to fix that. Any other VPN’s you can recommend me too, for the time being at least?
For free VPNs for desktop, ProtonVPN is probably the best you’ll get with unlimited time. Most all other VPNs either require ads or don’t have a killswitch.
For paid VPNs, I recommend SurfShark if you have many devices, and Mullvad is another highly-recommend option.
Gaining access to systems really isn’t something I’d suggest people to do, especially someone really new to scambaiting. I think it’d be better for you to just call them up and waste their time and try and gather some info along the way without accessing their computer which in most cases is illegal.
