These scammers are pretending to be giving you a refund, but end up stealing from your bank account.

Their MO is this: They trick you to open your online banking. For a few seconds they blacken the visibility to your screen and move several thousand (example $5300, typical) from you savings to checking account. Then they restore your screen. The scammer shows you that you have $5300 more in your checking and tell the victim that he refunded by mistake $5300 (instead of $300). So he wants $5000 back by gift card (else he complains that he, the scammer will lose his job)
Very cunning. 75% of this type of scam originates from Kolkata, India.
