Any number titled “refund” or “IRS” on bobrtc has never answered to me. It just stays on hold forever with some weird guitar music. Why is this? So frustrating because the IRS scammers and refund scammers are the best to fuck with.
I’ve been having a similar problem. I call, it rings maybe once then a weird chime and then a computerized/automated voice that says something like “7-9-1, all circuits are busy…” It hangs up right away and the call is so short I can’t even click the new feedback buttons about what’s happening on the call.
@Johnny_Bravo#124236 This may partly be the fault of BobRTC, since tolled calling availability is still being repaired at the moment, but the success of calls should improve as the new year progresses. However though,it my also be that these phone numbers have simply been disconnected temporarily or permanent, refund scammers and fake IRS/SSA departments that rely on non-toll-free inbound found numbers seem to be willing to swap phone numbers or disconnect them pretty quickly compared to other types of scammers. I suggest calling phone numbers on which you encounter this carrier message, on your regular cell-phone or through a service like TextNow. If you receive the same or a similar message, then it is out of BobRTC’s control.
About the recently added feedback buttons, were still working out problems with the time that they appear and disappear, but if the call length is less than 30 or so seconds and the other end hangs-up the call (e.g. you didn't hang-up the call), then a vote for the disconnected option (represented by a bomb icon) should automatically be submitted, whether you selected anything or not.
