Refund scam claiming to be from a computer company (note: they do not specify which company, and I assume they may hang up if you say “Microsoft”). Number: (323) 522-5405.

Someone called back, wants to know about the missed call from my number and why I called. I asked, is this the refund number? He was real hesitant, asked a lot of questions. I said I’m a PC technician calling for a customer who did not want me to format his drive because he’s entitled to a refund, and gave me this number. “What’s your customer’s name?” I said Jack (he’s actually my dog. Good boy, he’s sleeping by my feet.)
After more back and forth, he said never call this number again. I guess that tells us what to do, huh?
