Refund Scam (747) 282-2326

$399 for refund of computer subscription that I paid when I bought the PC. Female scammer said she’ll help me with the refund, wanted me to do join.soho.com so she could generate the refund form. So I asked, will I need to bring the form to Best Buy for the refund? She has no sense of humor. I reported the remote session number as abuse to Soho.com.

@jaymee#136127 Got some guy - wants to know if I wish to continue or cancel my ‘firewall software’ subscription. Had me connect via zoho (join.zoho.com). Surprisingly enough, it was able to run on my ancient Windows XP virtual machine! Once connected, he said he was going to hang up and his ‘technical team’ would be calling me back. I don’t have an inbound VoIP number, so I gave him hell about needing to go to the bank, how this was the most absurd method I’ve ever seen just to cancel a subscription, that I was giving him authorization to cancel whatever it was that was being canceled, and for his technical team to shove it up their backside. Tried to ‘switch screens’ in Zoho, but apparently it needs the other end to approve it.

FYI: Session ID was 756 509 905 if that is of any use.
