Did you guys know that official McAfee is running scams for a while now? I have a lot of their ads proofs that they are running and faking their ads to victims telling them that they have a virus and they need to buy McAfee license key to disable viruses. Who wants to work on this with me?

Wow, that surprises me.
So its works little differently than the traditional scam , they too have similar phishing page but without numbers on them. And they want to complete and buy the license keys that costs about $40. No doubt their software might work against real threats however mode of customer acquisition is fully a scam,
they also have very shady ‘affiliates’ who produce fake popups just like the windows defender tech support ones, they claim you have viruses and direct you to the official McAfee site to buy the product. The shady affiliate gets their cut and McAfee get a new customer.
I see these all the time when I’m hunting for popups, so common I’ve given up reporting them.

I’m not sure the ads are from McAfee themselves although they could be? I know they have affiliates who do shady stuff and they don’t care how they get the customers so they are scummy if not scamming.
All of the their promotions styles are immoral and unethical. Be it they preinstalling their software in new devices or hiring shady affiliates . This can be said even for scam tech support companies who hire other companies for their ads. I am actively tracking their fake ads as an evidence. Will be posting them soon.
I used to report the fake popups to the domain hosts, several each day for months but I eventually stopped bothering as I felt it was futile and a waste of my time.
