Raw Amateurs - SSA Scammers

Today I received an inbound call on my landline at home. Called-ID said Les Schwab (the auto tire place). I expected a scammer, (I have never dealt with Les Schwab) and sure enough, it a very British robo call message warning me of impending doom if I didn’t press 1 to talk to an officer.

My goodness, it was like pulling teeth. The dude could barely speak English, and was stumbling very badly with the Script. When asked for my name, I told him my name is Phil Lattio, it went over his head. When asked if I rented the black Toyota Corolla in the Southern Border of Texas, I said my wife who is currently in TX may have done so. Her name is Connie Lingus. Please check the car rental agreement. Was it Connie Lingus? Again, it went over his head. Finally, Senior Investigation Officer Green's turn. He wasn't any better. After 20 minutes or so, got I fed up with their incompetence, so I berated Officer Green and told him that he was pathetic, incompetent and a disgrace to the scammer community. He blurted out some Hindi cuss words (what does Lowry mean?) and hung up on me.

So, what's the deal? Two guys over some beers decide to get into the scam game on their own? Scam from their Sector 5 shack over stolen wifi? Sad, sad situation.
