question

when ever i call a scammer they connect to my vm and look around for a bit and they see a file that i made that says bank stuff the thing is that they dont know that its a rat but instead of doing anything like cmd or anything they look at the computer for a min and say nothing is wrong and hang up why are scammers not doing anything

@technesion#62197 Nearly all of them have caught onto this technique, it’s been used many, many times. Especially if you’re using that as it’s file name, they aren’t as dumb as you may think. Since I assume you’ve already disguised your VM, I also suggest you make sure it looks like it’s been through a ‘rough’ time, install toolbars, PC Optimizer programs, spew random files and photos across the desktop etc. Make it look like it’s been used for awhile, some won’t be interested in working on a pristine looking computer, even if their goal is to scam/trick people.

@Norm_Harrison#62212 what would be a good file name in your opinian?

and also thamks you for the tips

@Norm_Harrison#62212 To add to that, why not get fakeCMD and Fake Notepad to piss them off?

@technesion#62234 Try something like Shipping Label, Credit Card Statements, Loan statement. Those seem to work.

Also add some random photos files on the desktop and a shortcut to a folder to more photos. Also, install some random programs. Also add some PDFs with random fake bank statements, receipts, etc.

Scammers are now getting smarter and looking to see if the computer is a scambaiter's VM. But scammers usually don't yell out "YOU ARE USING A VIRTUAL MACHINE! WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME!!??", and just say "It looks like there's nothing wrong with your computer, it looks very clean".
