Please spare me if this is an amateur question. I’ve been using AWS in order to use Microsoft access on my Mac for one of my classes. Is it a bad idea to scam bait and let a scammer connect to this virtual machine? Should I be using something like virtualbox if I want to bring a scammer on to a machine to mess with?

I’m not really a tech scambaiter, but I know you’ll need a VPN to mask your IP. You don’t want to invite them on to your VM only for them to lock you out of your internet. There are other things you can do to make it look like you’re not on a VM, but I don’t know that.
