Additional information about this scam: Cold called me about winning $7000 a week. Wanted my banking information over the phone. Anybody who gives that info out to a voice on the phone deserves what they get.
It is a Textmail number.
Well it is a text now number, but no one wants to play. I guess you scared them away.
Don’t forget why we all (presumably) do this which is too make sure victims don’t get scammed. A scam victim is a scam victim no matter what type of scam, saying a statement like people who give out their bank info deserve it is in my opinion wrong as you don’t know what issues that person is dealing with or how they think. I have seen interviews from victims and even work with victim advocates and you can tell issues like dementia and health issues are prevalent in some which could cause them to not think straight and end up doing something like giving out bank details.
