I can save a ,load of people a lot of time, only if I have the time.
My tricky bits of kit can search thousands of numbers very quickly without bothering anyone, except those who deserve to be bothered.
It’s not hard to know where citizen and business populated areas of numbers area and those scammers own and congregate amongst.
The first milliseconds of sound are a giveaway 99% of the time anyway as to what the number is.
The roughly 10 different types of $100 gift card menu, the 8 different types of leadgens, Americas hottest talk line, etc and most tech support & refund ringing sounds have distinct giveaways once studied for hundreds of hours
These are still active PCH voicemail numbers which I’ve been monitoring for a few months now
One of them actively answers the last number, just as they did in the recording I posted above. I’ve had two different Jamaican scamming shitbags answer within the last hour when I’ve called this number.

These numbers date back to between 21-28 October 2022
I believe with very good reason, they have possession of dozens more currently inactive numbers within and adjacent to all these numbers, as they do with so many other of their numbers in use.
These criminals don’t just get one or two numbers, they create accounts of them in their hundreds or thousands at a time. These numbers are regularly in large consecutive blocks across many area codes.
People who have one or two TextNow numbers or accounts, have no idea how easy it is to be using 500, 1000 or more numbers, all actively open, simultaneously useable numbers.
TextNow & Google Voice numbers, as well as the email addresses associated with their creation are a saleable commodity, usually in batches of 1000 at a time. There are people who make a comfortable living creating and selling email and phone number accounts for fraudulent & criminal purposes. Many bank accounts which are crowed loudly about, are no different. A saleable, tradeable commodity within the criminal sphere.
It doesn’t take a lot of intelligence to achieve this, hundreds of scam operations do it every day, which is why I never bother for one second about a garbage callback number. They can use them once and discard them just as quickly because of how easy it is to create them.
There’s been about a dozen or more different fake names actively answering at times on almost every number over the last few months
